Walking Meditation - A Guide to Mindful Walking

Correctly knowing how to practice your walking meditation is one of the essentials to help you integrate mindfulness into your daily life.

Your breath is one of your focus points during this exercise. Therefore, you will use the first basic mindfulness breathing techniques:
B3 - Breathe normally
B2 - Breathe in and out deeply
B1 - Breathe fast, short, and shallow
Simultaneously with your breath, you focus on the sensation of your foot soles touching the ground with each step. Both focus points help you to stay in the present moment and not get distracted by your thoughts or things happening around your.
Make sure you have enough room to walk back and forth in a straight line. Walk slowly and keep your eyes half open while you look in front of you with your head slightly downwards.
After your walking meditation, you can continue with sitting meditation. Master Niels guides you through 4 beginner's mindfulness sessions of 10 minutes. Start with the first session here:
