VIDEO DESCRIPTION
This tutorial will take you through easy to follow, step-by-step instructions on how to paint this beautiful woodland flowering plant that is native to Asia and Europe. Using a vibrant natural toned color palette, long flowing brush strokes, and a gradation technique we'll create a realistic painting of this delicate, yet poisonous, flower that is sometimes referred to as May bells, Our Lady's tears, or Mary's tears. So let's get painting and let's get sipping!

MATERIALS:
Canvas: 16x20 stretched primed canvas
Brushes: 1 inch flat bristle, #6 round synthetic, 1/2 inch synthetic flat
Acrylic Paint: green oxide, burnt umber, titanium white, chrome yellow, mars black
Other: palette, cup of water for washing brushes, paper towel for drying brushes

STEPS:
1. 1 inch bristle brush - Paint entire canvas with black
2. 1/2 inch flat brush - Outline of leaves with yellow, green and white
3. 1/2 inch flat brush - Color the leaves with yellow, green, brown and white
4. 1/2 inch flat brush - Color the inside of leaves with green, brown and black
5. #6 round brush - Paint the stems with yellow, green and white
6. 1/2 inch flat brush - Last layer on leaves with yellow, green, white, brown and black
7. #6 round brush - Paint flowers with white
8. #6 round brush - Signature with white, yellow and green
