Three Peaks Fell Race, Yorkshire
The Three Peaks Fell Race, held annually at the end of April, is one of the toughest races in the UK, covering a distance of 24 miles and a total ascent of 6,000ft. The winning time is 2 hours 45 minutes. 21 times entrant and President of the Three Peaks Race Association, Dave Hodgson, gives an account of the race and its history. We see runners at the start, ascending Penyghent at Ribblehead and the gruelling ascent of Ingleborough as well as at the finish line.
