Land Rover Series 3 Restoration - Wing Repairs & Installing Hazard Lights Pt. 34
In this episode I fix the wings to the body for the last time. But first, I have to repair the corroded brackets which connect the new mud shields to the underside of the wings. Once that is done I move onto the electrics; I have to install a set of hazard lights to comply with the German road test certificate (TUV).
It's worth mentioning that the hazard switch I bought on ebay.co.uk (which is clearly marketed as a hazard light switch) is not actually designed correctly for the job. I had to modify it by soldering an additional terminal to the back, but even then the light within the fitting flashes when I use the turn signals. So, beware if you are doing the same thing to your car!
