Daniel Andrews 'is destroying the state': Pauline Hanson

One Nation leader Pauline Hanson has called for the Victorian governor to "step in and throw out the parliament" because Premier Daniel Andrews is destroying the state.

"If he's talking about keeping the borders shut for 12 months, someone has to step in," Ms Hanson told Sky News host Chris Kenny.

"It's ridiculous where it's going ... he's destroying the state".

Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews announced on Monday his government will seek to extend the state of emergency powers for a further 12 months, past the initial September 13 end date.

"If there's as much of an uproar from the people in that state, the way that they've been controlled by Daniel Andrews, then the governor should step in and throw out the parliament," Ms Hanson said.
