Mega Man 1 - Fire Man Stage (No Damage) (Buster Only)

*Boss Stage*

Fire Man's Stage takes place inside of what appears to be a steel foundry's smelting core. This stage has a lot of fire-related gimmicks moreso than enemies, which gives the stage a bigger focus on timing to avoid the obstacles. The first and most common of these is a block that unleashes a tall flame upwards within periodic intervals. This flame can actually be frozen with Ice Slasher, in which case it becomes a temporary platform. The other traps are unique to this stage. The second trap is a block that instead shoots fire horizontally, which is also periodical but always has a small flame at the nozzle which can still hurt the player. There are only 3 of these variants in the stage and they all appear together. The third trap is exclusive to one room near the end. Waves of fire will rush past a curving tunnel, and pixel-perfect timing is required to walk through it twice without getting hurt. (Magnet Beam can skip the entire gimmick). Lastly, the bottomless pits have magma, but this is purely aesthetic.

*Boss Info*

Fire Man (ファイヤーマン, Faiyāman) is a Light Number who debuted in the first Mega Man game. He was built by Dr. Light to work in an incinerator at a waste management facility, but was modified by Dr. Wily to help him conquer the world.

Fire Man can melt or burn through almost anything and is able to wield flames at a temperature of 8000 degrees Celsius.

Fire Man's and Bomb Man's development began at the same time, and despite being warned by Rock that working with both explosives and fire could be dangerous, Dr. Light went on believing that Ice Man could handle the situation in case anything happened. A few flash fires did occur, but Ice Man ran away saying he doesn't like saunas.

His Special Weapon is the Fire Storm, whose weapon system excellently combines offense and defense.

*Strategy*

Fire Man is one of the easiest bosses in the game, but his difficulty is wildly dependent on how much you know about his pattern. Fire Man’s movement is restricted to walking back and forth, and he will continue to do this until he is triggered to attack. He will only attack if he takes damage, or the player crosses a set distance. He will attack by shooting a huge Fire Storm wave, which quickly travels forward. Upon passing Mega Man, it leaves a small ember underneath him, so the player has to jump and move. He always runs away from the player after he finishes an attack. Basically, if you go in spamming, he will spam back. If you instead keep close to him and just follow him, he will not attack unless he gets shot, making the fight extremely easy
