Mega Man 1 - Guts Man Stage (No Damage) (Buster Only)
*Boss Stage*
Guts Man Stage appears to take place within the range of mountainous mines, some of which have construction barriers blocking off the entrance. Mega Man will start at the bottom of a small rocky hill, with Mets leading up to a cliff blocking his path. Making it up, the hero will be introduced to the Lifts, which are mainly small platforms that move along a rail system, but these Lifts can be deactivated if running along the thin rails, which will make Mega Man fall off of them. Once he makes it past the Lift section, Mega Man will run into Pickelmen standing on short platforms that he must take out to make it to the next section, which will be mostly a free fall filled with deadly Spikes. At the very bottom, Mega Man will be met with a Big Eye before making it to the boss gate.
*Boss Info*
Guts Man (ガッツマン, Gattsuman) is a Light Number who debuted in the first Mega Man game. He was a civil engineering robot created by Dr. Light to work alongside Bomb Man for the purpose of land reclamation and construction, but was reprogrammed by Dr. Wily to help him conquer the world.
Guts Man possesses great physical strength, being capable of lifting and transporting heavy objects, including rocks of over two tons, with little effort. In battle, he can use his Super Arm to throw heavy objects, such as boulders and blocks, at his enemies. Guts Man can also use his strength to hit his enemies with a powerful tackle, and make the ground shake with his jumps.
*Weakness*
Hyper Bomb
*Attack Damage*
4 (Contact) 4 (Super Arm)
*Strategy*
Guts Man has a relatively easy fight. Guts Man’s arena has 2 Guts Blocks on the left side as an elevation. He will always move by jumping, but the jump is very slow in width and height. Every time he lands, the ground will shake for a while, and Mega Man will have to jump precisely to avoid getting stunned. Guts Man can jump left or right to move, but he can also do a stationary jump. When he lands after this stationary jump, a boulder from the ceiling falls into his hand and he will throw it at the player. The boulder will split into smaller fragments once it hits a surface, making it harder to evade if the initial block wasn't dodged.
*Valuable pickups to look out for*
1-UP: At the final room of the vertical drop before the Big Eye. To get it, take the middle path in the second room and hug left. If lucky, you'll land on a platform. Tippy toe to the left edge and jump left for a chance to get this pickup.
