Seijun Nishihata, 37 years old, is the most renowned gardener in Japan. His family has been doing plant-related jobs for generations, and he now works as the only plant hunter in Asia, searching for rare plants and herbs. Since he started the career at 21, he has been to almost every corner of the world, risking his life for a couple of times. But for him, those trips are the happiest experiences. “Plant is everything to me. I’ve been on the road all along. I’d rather die than have a rest.”
