Reparing a Leaking Pond Berm - Fall Scenes
As the days get shorter and the temperatures colder, progress on the new section of our fishing pond has equally slowed down. My next project is to repair the leaking berm by removing the loose soil and replacing it with clay mixed with bentonite. The problem with this plan is how to hold the mixture tightly to an almost vertical bank? Then an idea struck me - how about the silt fence that I had used when digging the goldfish ponds? I did a quick sizing up of the fence concept during this weekend, and it looks like it might work! There really is no rush at this point, so I expect this to be a slow, winter-long project. Enjoy the fall colors!
