Benachin Jenn | Thieb | Gambian 🇬🇲 Jollof rice w/ fish | Senegambia Jollof

Thieb aka Benachin is a staple from the Senegambia (Senegal & Gambia) region, locally called benachin or thiebu jenn. It is now enjoyed by almost all Africans and a must have in African parties.

Ingredients Used:
Red Snapper
Jasmine Rice
Carrots
Cabbage
Habanero pepper to taste
fresh tomatoes
Tomato paste
billion/ maggi/ salt to taste
Green bell pepper
fresh garlic
fresh ginger
vegetable oil for frying
Parsley
Spring Onions
1 large Yellow onion
Black pepper
Bay leaves
Yate (Fermented sea snail)
