Making a Keyway Cutter for the Shaper Part 1

I know it's been a while since I've done some work for the shaper but finally got some shop time and got at it. I've wanted a keyway cutting tool for the shaper for a while and after making one that I wasn't happy with I had some time and got at making a better one. It didn't hurt that I had a project for a buddy that needed a metric keyway and I did not have a metric broach for it.

Part 1 is mail from friends, outlining the project, and getting the basic shape cut to size.

Part 2 is cutting the retaining threads, and finishing off the remaining features and parts.

As always, thanks for watching, and for all the support people have given over the years!
