Small Skid Steer Carburetor Adapter Part 2

This time we have another "square peg, round hole" problem to solve. Uncle Tim has an old Case 1816 compact skid steer loader with a Kohler engine on it. The carburetor on it has been giving him grief for a long time so he wants to replace it with a jet-metered carburetor. The thing is that the carb he wants to use is a side draft and he one on the engine is a down draft unit.

Once some measurements were taken a plan was drawn up, and in this 2-part series we take some bar stock and pipe and make him a custom carb adapter. In part one we lay out and make the flanges, and cut the pipe sections. In part two we do the assembly prep and welding of the unit together.

In post-production I found out that a few of the scenes are a bit dark, will have to see what was up with the camera and its exposure settings to improve for the next videos.
