Rotary Resistance Test
Goal
Can you get on all fours safely/comfortably?
Can you resist rotation?
Scoring Criteria
0=Unable to move leg and arm together
1=Lots of compensation during opposite arm and leg
2=Perfectish with opposite arm and leg
3=Perfectish with same side arm and leg
Test
Get on your hands and knees. Hand under shoulders and knees under hip at hip distance apart.
With your eyes looking straight down extend out the left hand and the right leg.
Bring the knee and elbow in so that they touch.
Repeat 3 times
Switch sides and repeat 3 times.
Progressions
If the test is easy: Same setup but extend your left arm and left leg at the same time. Switch sides and repeat.
If the test is difficult: just extend your leg first and then your arm
How to Film
Needed: Camera
How to film: ¾ angle between straight from the from and straight from the side.
