This afternoon scene captured by Adine starts off with the herd in peace around the dam on a warm day in the bush. It soon escalates into a display of all kinds of wonderful elephant behaviour from all of the elephants, with Limpopo lying down and rolling in the mud, Tokwe digging up mud to shower herself with, Timisa lying underneath Pisa’s legs, incredible close-ups with orphans, Khanyisa and Kumbura and their magnificently detailed brows and hairy trunks, and Fishan threatening to knock down a tree while he uses it as a scratch post — with Jabulani also attempting to take off with a branch or two.

You’ll also be treated to an update from Elephant Manager, Tigere about Khanyisa and how she is doing with her routine and herd, along with insights from Adine into the elephants behaviour and how little Timisa has blossomed with Khanyisa in her life.
