We really love animals. The Elephant Jungle Sanctuary is as one of the best elephant sanctuaries in Chiang Mai. It is really nice to have an experience with the wonderful elephants of Thailand. They have a strict non-riding policy.
They picked us up in Chiang Mai. We already enjoyed the drive out of town.
They drive through rural areas till the jungle, a scenery very much to enjoy already.
Their English-speaking guides gave us insight into the behavior and the personal history of their elephants. The elephant mahouts help people realize incredible life experiences such as feeding the elephants by hand or bathing elephants in Chiang Mai. It is amazing how they to do you if you treat them good. You will get so close to these great animals.
Throughout our visit at Elephant Jungle Sanctuary, we done feeding with bananas and sugar cane, bathing them in a mud pool and the nearby river and even playing with the elephants.
After the great elephant experience, they serve you a Thai meal. You still can enjoy the views and wonder around with the animals.
It is important to the sanctuary that you learn as much as possible about the elephants and why it is important to protect them.
With the money they raise from visits and donations, they can contribute to elephant welfare, by rescuing them, feed them, provide veterinary care as well as land and infrastructure for the elephants to live on.

It is an experience you will never forget !!
