Rescued Ponies Decorate the Christmas Tree!
🎶 Deck the halls, tree and stables 🎶 Falalala la lala la la
Who decorates the Christmas Tree at Hope Pastures rescue centre?
The rescued ponies and donkeys of course!
Hannah worked with the staff at Hope Pastures to teach these cuties some tricks to add Christmas cheer to the stables.
"It's pretty heartbreaking to see the state some of these guys arrive in. When they start to trust us humans and look forward to their training sessions with so much enthusiasm and joy, it's just wonderful. All of these guys have suffered but Banjo, the grey donkey in the video, was incredibly depressed and terrified when I first met him - he actually used to freeze and collapse with fear. Seeing him slowly gain confidence and start to play has been amazing. He adores Sue, the staff member who has worked closely with him! Though, he didn't quite show off his amazing fetch skills when it came filming this video as he was a little reluctant to let go of his decoration!" Hannah
