How to Change Video Playback Speed in Unity

Greetings, in this Unity tutorial we shall look at how to change the playback speed of a video playing in a videoplayer component unity. This video is basically how to fastforward a video in unity.

Changing the playback speed of a video in Unity is simple. All we need is a reference to our video player component and then we can change the playback speed float of our video. If we set the playback speed to 2, we are playing the video at double speed. If we set the video playback speed to 1, the video will play at normal speed. Changing the playback speed of a video impacts the entire video, so visuals and audio will be sped up/slowed down.

In this tutorial we will be making a toggle playback speed button to show how to change playback speed. This can be adapted for what you want to add to your unity video player. Our button is essenitally a fast forward button.
