Chad faces urgent humanitarian crisis
The threat of a humanitarian catastrophe looms large in Chad as an increasing number of refugees flee from Darfur, Sudan, thereby exacerbating an already strained aid infrastructure. More than 553,150 new refugees from Sudan had been counted by mid-February, making the country the largest host of refugees fleeing Sudan since the conflict erupted in mid-April 2023.
