Businesses in Africa bear heavy costs due to court case backlog
The African business community expresses alarm over the crippling impact of delays and increasing expenses linked to resolving disputes. In Nigeria, nearly 200,000 cases remained unresolved in 2022/2023, while Kenya's judiciary reports approximately half a million cases awaiting resolution in the magistrates' courts.
