Joel Payamps, RHP, Arizona Diamondbacks — 2016 Visalia Rawhide (High-A California League)
Arizona Diamondbacks right-handed pitching prospect Joel Payamps throws for the Visalia Rawhide during a September, 2016 game in the California League (High-A) playoffs on the road at Sam Lynn Ballpark in Bakersfield, California. A native of the Dominican Republic and a former member of the Colorado Rockies' organization before joining the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2016, Joel Payamps spent the 2017 summer as a starter split between High-A Visalia, Double-A Jackson, and Triple-A Reno as just a 23-year-old. In total, he finished 2017 with an 11-7 record and a 4.30 ERA in 27 games (all starts) spanning 150.2 innings pitched. In this video, you can see his stuff and sequencing in game action during that September 2016 playoff start in Bakersfield.
