David Fletcher, SS/2B, Los Angeles Angels — California League, 2016 (Inland Empire 66ers)

Los Angeles Angels middle infield prospect David Fletcher bats for the Inland Empire 66ers during a July 2016 California League (High-A) game against the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes (Los Angeles Dodgers) at San Manuel Stadium in San Bernardino, California. After spending the majority of 2016 at High-A Inland Empire, David Fletcher jumped quickly in 2017, moving from Double-A Mobile to Triple-A Salt Lake. Now, entering the 2018 season, he's on the doorstep to the Major Leagues in Los Angeles, and he figures to fight for a big league gig — whether as an everyday second baseman or as a utility infielder — when spring training begins in February with the Los Angeles Angels in Tempe, Arizona. In this video, you can see a couple David Fletcher swings to get a sense of the infielder's swing mechanics at the plate from last summer.
