Colorado Rockies third base prospect Colton Welker bats for the Lancaster JetHawks during two April 5-6, 2018 California League (High-A) minor league baseball games against the Modesto Nuts (Seattle Mariners) at The Hangar in Lancaster, California. One of the Colorado Rockies' top prospects entering 2018 after being taken by the club in the fourth round of the 2016 MLB Draft, Colton Welker has a truly exceptional power stroke that should flourish in the incredible hitter's environment in Lancaster. At third base, he's considerably more raw and stiff, and long term he may be a target to move to first base or left field unless he improves markedly at the hot corner in ranging for balls side to side and showing hands soft enough to field the ball. In the video here, you can see Colton Welker bat ten times from two different camera angles at two different games for the Lancaster JetHawks in their minor league opening series to start off the 2018 season.
