SONIA AUV 2008 Black Jack Drop During Practice

Video taken at the 2008 AUVSI & ONR AUV Competition.

Shows dropping in the two correct bins for the final day of the competition, on the practice side. Our AUV started 20 feet off the bins, searched for them, aligned with the correct shapes, and dropped in Spade and Club, which, if done during the finals, would have given us an additionnal 1680 points Everything is done using vision. The search pattern does not used waypoints, but rather uses the DVL to determine when it has reached width and length scanning targets.
