Petition from Tina Quadrino on Maidenhead Golf Club RBWM 02032021

At the full Council meeting of Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead (RBWM) on 2 March 2021, resident Tina Quadrino presented a petition signed by 4,448 citizens, to turn the site of the Maidenhead Golf Club (MGC) into a park, rather than to turn it into a building site.
Cllr. Wisdom Da Costa gets to the heart of the matter, a Borough Local Plan that is not compatible with life.
However, Council officers recommended that Council “Cannot support the proposal in the petition to create a new park on
Maidenhead Golf Course for the reasons given in this report,
including the impact this would have on the Borough Local Plan,
and the related financial and legal implications.”
Sadly, Conservative Councillors voted to turn it down.
