Dance Solo to Florence + The Machine's Ghosts - ("I'm Not Calling You a Liar")

http://www.fitforafeast.com Here is Sloane's Open Solo from her 2016 competitive season. This is a very cool dance called Ghost. The name of the song is Ghosts - (I'm Not Calling You A Liar) by Florence + The Machine. Kim Falconi, the very talented choreographer who choreographed many of Sloane's group dances including the one last posted called What About Me, did this dance. Sloane really enjoyed working one on one with Kim. Although she has worked with Kim for years, this was the first time Sloane ever had her choreograph a solo for her. Sloane was very excited to work with Kim for this piece.

An Open Solo in dance can be just about anything. You can do a certain number of acro tricks. You can even wear ballet pointe shoes if you like. Almost anything goes in the Open Category. It is very freeing for the dancers because they can express themselves and not be confined by any one genre of dance. In this number, Sloane does no tricks. It is only about dance and moving to the music. It was also liberating for Sloane to perform a happy dance. Often times she has done darker type contemporary or open dances. This was performed at Sean Desmond's Move Competition at the Americana Resort in Niagara Falls, Ontario. She did very well at this comp and at Bedazzled she even won her category.
