Please make sure that you like this video, it helps with the youtube algorithm and subscribe, we are on our way to 1K sub!
Back in 2015 BenQ decided to enter the professional hardware calibrated display market when there were only 2 players. The price was high, though the overall quality back then was good, the price makes it un attainable for most photographers. Fast forward to 2020, 5 years later, the market has now changed drastically. We now have closer to 10 manufacturer in the market that are making low to high end hardware calibrated pro display. The overall price has come down significantly for most of these display with a few manufacturer being outlier. Other than that it has been a really great 5 years for photographers.
The SW2700PT introduced us a plethora of new features and many of them have become to gold standard that we expect today. Here are some of them.
1. Amazing Price Point for a great hardware calibrate panel.
2. Wide color gamut 99% Adobe RGB.
3. Shading hood that come standard so you'll never have to compromise.
4. Hockey puck for quick color mode change.
5. Advanced Black and White color mode for true monochromatic viewing.
Just to name a few, there are plenty more.
So in this review, I'll give you my thoughts throughout years using the SW2700PT and recommending them to my photography friends.
Another display that I mentioned in this video is the upgrade to the SW2700PT, the SW270C with Uniformity Version 2, New M-Book Color Mode, Hockeypuck Gen 2. and most importantly USB type C.
