Waypoint Sigsbee Deep: A Short Flight at the Cutoff Bayou
I love the people, culture and beauty of the South and this is certainly the case for Mississippi and the Gulf of Mexico. On a recent visit I decided to take a short flyover of the Cutoff Bayou at Bay St. Louis.
Interestingly, you can still see the damage from Hurricane Katrina from over a decade ago, but the place is still doing well and thriving!
Did you know that 41% of the contiguous USA drains into the Mississippi which then in turn drains in to the Gulf of Mexico? I had no idea until I wrote it just now. LOL
