FAMILY ROAD TRIP NORTH THAILAND - Full of Surprises! | Family Travel Thailand (Episode 11)

We set off on a family road trip around North Thailand just as it opens back up after the pandemic lockdowns of 2021. Thailand is so beautiful. As we travelled as a family we found North Thailand quiet and though a few places were closed and some people didn’t seem super keen to have us there, on the whole the places that were open were full of very friendly locals keen to see travellers again. Thai people are so welcoming! They also really need tourism to return to Thailand as soon as possible!
So many giggles, fun family challenges and very precious love filled moments with our children. Road trips are such crazy cool, fun way to spend time together as a family!
We found many hidden gems on this road trip. Our absolute favourite places to enjoy as a family were:

Sticky Waterfall (Thai name: Bua Tong Waterfall)

Chiang Mai Grand Canyon

Doi Inthanon National Park Temple

Doi Inthanon National Park Peak (Highest point in Thailand)

Doi Inthanon Rice terraces (Not sure which Tea shop we stopped at but there are lots of them!)

Chai Lai Orchard

Pai Village

Karen Village Long Neck Tribe

Tham Lod cave

Sai ngam River
