Resin Tip of the Day - Keep it Simple

Today's Resin Tip of the Day is to keep it simple.

One of the most significant issues I see new resin artists making is creating a spectacular resin piece on their first attempt and then beating themselves up because it turned into a hot mess. They see other resin art and think it is easy to achieve, but then get disappointed when it doesn't work out as planned.

If you are struggling to create good looking resin artworks, then this video is for you.

My tip is to keep it simple, and by that, I mean:

using a maximum of three colours
creating a simple design - like splitting the board into two colours and only working on the centre of the design
using good contrasting colours
set a timer for 10 minutes and stop when the time runs out (prevents overworking the resin)
Once you are more familiar with what your resin can do, you can start introducing more colours and shapes into your resin design.
