His first patient takes him by surprise. It's a hamster. We don't have hamsters in Australia so it's the first one he's ever treated. The little hamster has a worrying lump on its chest.

An Aussie living in China is worried about his bull mastiff. The locals are scared of the big friendly dog, and owner Eddy wants Chris' advice to help the much loved pet settle in to its new life in Beijing.

Another first for Chris in China as he is confronted with pet snails. They have badly cracked shells, and Chris has to come up with an inventive way to get them to absorb more calcium.

The finale to Chris's trip is an unforgettable encounter with some of China's precious Giant Pandas. Chris is granted the rare privilege of hand feeding some youngsters. He's then allowed into the most sacred area of all - the panda kindergarten to meet the adorable babies.

Lisa is the worried pet owner at Sash this week. Her much loved pet Nelson has an alarming lump, and he will have to undergo surgery. It's heartbreaking for Lisa, and the wait for the test results is agonizing.

Tim is taking a trio of Tasmanian devils to Sydney University to take part in ground-breaking research. The little volunteers will undergo regular CT scans and blood tests as part of the desperate hunt for a cure for the facial tumour that's killing so many devils.
