How to Change Cabin Air Filter in the Car

Here’s a quick way to change a dirty cabin air filter.

Open your glove box. Pop off the arm by gently pushing it to the right.

Most gloveboxes have 2 side tabs. Release the tabs by pushing in the glovebox on the sides. Pull the glovebox straight out.

You should be able to see your cabin air filter. Squeeze the 4 tabs of the air filter, and pull it out.

Then grab the new filter. Find the arrows that indicate the air flow direction, and slide the new filter into place, until you hear a click. Re-install your glovebox. And you’re all set.

You’ll want to replace your cabin air filter every year or every 15,000 miles. This will help keep your cabin air clean and clear from contaminants and remove musty odors.
