Tillamook State Forest Rocks and Bugs

(This week's contest mentioned down below, as well as last week's winners.)
Tip: make sure you always watch my moving landscape vids in 1080HD by clicking the little gear icon on the viewer.
Troubled times. The world is abuzz. Must, away. Must relax. Close friends. Fresh air. Escape.
Nature. Rocks. Dirt. Bugs. Springtime. Leafless trees. Clear blue skies, above. A world away.
If you have an opportunity to do so this week, go out and find a sunbeam to sit in. Watch for bugs, but close your eyes for a moment and take a deep breath. Feeel tiiime slooow to a gen'tle craaawl.

In this video, I hiked to a couple spots out in the Tillamook State Forest with one of my Arizona trip buddies, John Skierski. A librarian, he's been off work for a few weeks. His partner, Kirstie, works in a lab and the week following our little trip her lab was to be converted to one that will be testing for the virus.
John is a rock hound and a bug guy, and travels around frequently in the Pacific Northwest looking for rocks with his family. Though it's not quite bug season yet, we found a few bugs and I learned a bit about geology. One of his locations really panned out for a mineral called augite.
This week I transition into the new norm for the business here in light of COVID-19. For one, I'm reducing my shipping days from the 4 days per week they've always been, down to 3. Normally this time of year I'm running two employees to keep up with orders but sales are down since many of our orders are to classrooms. Not sure if this is temporary or permanent but it's a necessary change to keep the business alive.
And we do have some winners to announce from last week's contest. I uploaded a video to my Instagram Story area that shows how I used the random number picker. Congratulations to the following people and thank you to everybody for supporting this channel through your participation.
