Video - hypergranulation tissue resection on a bad ingrown toenail

Here's a very bad ingrown toenail with severe hyper granulation tissue.

A previous (simple) nail avulsion without phenol (sensible approach) from a Podiatry colleague had unfortunately not allowed the tissue to shrink so this time it taken off was WITH the use phenol and WITH soft tissue resection. I could have added in the thorough the vascular work up we did (circulation acceptable), X-rays (NAD) and antibiotic regime (mixed and various) and pahrm considerations (anticoags, etc) but this concentrates on the nail resection. I'll do all of that next time I get a similar one....
