Video - Iatrogenic DP Nerve Entrapment and CSI Review

This patient had a 2nd TMT arthrodesis for OA but developed some issues with the deep peroneal (and med branch of superficial peroneal) nerve(s) post-operatively. This is known as anterior tarsal tunnel syndrome.

The nerve is protected during surgery but it can get caught within the scar tissue that forms - and contracts - in the months post-operatively. 6/52 post-steroid injection to the scar this was the much improved result.

Eagle eyed viewers will also note a nice 5 year old bunion fix.
