PIQSIQ at Conjuring the Future feat. Ruby Singh - Live at #ISF2019
With a style perpetually galvanized by darkness and haunting northern beauty, sisters Tiffany Ayalik and Kayley Mackay come together to create Inuit style throat singing duo, PIQSIQ.
The duo joined Ruby Sing, an interdisciplinary artist and facilitator. Ruby’s work meets at the intersection of social justice and the arts, and for the past 14 years he has been growing his understanding of anti-oppression and empowerment work.
Watch an amazing live show with the participation of Immigrant Lessons, a dance/art collective created to promote cultural pluralism through dance, music, and fashion.
PIQSIQ and Ruby’s presentation was a part of Conjuring the Future, presented by Indian Summer Festival and curated by Jarrett Martineau. Video art created by Chimerik 似不像.
