Testing a Broken Gaming Desktop PC | Scrapping Recycling Motherboard CPU Graphics Card | Aram Joseph

In this video, I go through the process of testing and scrapping a broken gaming desktop computer that was dropped off at my recycling center.

When I come across broken gaming desktop computers such as this, the first thing I do is take the time to assess the damage. I then go ahead and carefully take them apart and clean each piece in order to get a better understanding of the situation.

In this specific situation, this gaming computer had an Intel i7-2600k CPU along with an EVGA GTX 650 graphics card and gaming motherboard. After taking everything apart, I went through the process of testing the gaming desktop pc, specifically the motherboard along with the i7-2600k and GTX 650 on my external test bench. After going through the process of testing and diagnosing the motherboard, graphics card and i7-2600k, I found that the motherboard had damage to the cpu socket; rendering it unrepairable. Nonetheless, I was able to get the Intel i7-2600K to function in another pc motherboard. I was also able to salvage the EVGA GTX 650 Graphics Card from being scrapped and recycled as ewaste.

Ultimately, as seen in the final results of the video, I was able to salvage the Intel i7-2600K CPU, EVGA GTX 650 GPU, Wi-Fi Adapter and CD Drive. The remaining Gaming PCB Motherboard, Power Supply, CPU Water Cooler and Desktop Computer Case will be scrapped and recycled per pound as ewaste.
