Mark's Cams. Browning Recon Trail Camera. Florida Panther with Feline Leukomyelopathy in Fakahatchee

Recently, some Florida panthers and bobcats have been seen having difficulty coordinating their hind legs, making walking difficult. The condition is known as Feline Leukomyelopathy (FLM). The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) is hard at work trying to figure out this condition's origins. Nothing has been ruled out yet. This is footage captured on my trail cameras of a young panther with the condition in May and June, 2020. So far, this cub seems able to keep up with its mother. Hopefully, its condition won't progress any further. If you have any trail camera footage of Florida panthers or bobcats exhibiting difficulties with their hind limbs, please contact FWC.
