Mark's Cams. Feline leukomyelopathy in young male Florida Panther in August 2020, Fakahatchee

I believe this is the same Florida panther mother and cub that walked in front of my Fakahatchee trail camera 2 months earlier. The cub has feline leukomyelopathy, a neuromuscular condition popping up in bobcats and panthers recently in South Florida. The cause of the condition is still unknown. This young male cub has grown noticably since my earlier video from June, 2020. And thankfully, his conditoon doesn't appear to have gotten any worse. All my trail camera videos are shared with the park biologist and all videos showing feline leukomyelopathy are also being sent directly to the Florida Wildlife Commission (MyFWC.com) to help them track the cases and hopefully help find the cause.
