Sansibar Blacksmith in Leyte
Minaling blacksmith in Carigara, Leyte, still makes blades the old way. These are Sansibar Swords and Daggers, used by the Katipunan for close combat assaults during the Philippine Revolution, the Philippine American War and the Second World War.
The hilts are either carved from wood or carabao (water buffalo) horn.
