Greater Boston Full Episode: October 17, 2023
How the Israeli-Gaza conflict is fueling hate in the U.S.
Acts of hate towards Jewish and Palestinian Americans seem to be on the rise, as the war in Israel and Gaza intensifies. Rabbi Jonah Steinberg, New England director of the Anti-Defamation League, and Imad Harb, director of research and analysis at Arab Center Washington DC joined Crystal Haynes to discuss growing fear in both communities and the need for national leaders to stand up against hate.
What you need to know about the MBTA’s plan to connect the Red and Blue lines
Amid partial red line closures for track repair and ongoing slow zones, the MBTA is looking ahead at another construction project. The agency is holding public meetings for its proposed Red-Blue Connector, which would extend the Blue Line from Government Center to the Charles/MGH station on the Red Line in order to reduce transfers and travel time for trips between East Boston and Revere to Cambridge and Somerville. GBH News Transportation Reporter Bob Seay joined Crystal to discuss.
