I thought the Elgato stream decks were too expensive so I designed a 25 button matrix housing in Fusion 360. I put a spot inside for an Arduino Pro Micro, it has native USB support on PCs and can be used for all sorts of applications. In the stream deck example, we utilize the keypad and keyboard library, and the MIDI example is very familiar. When used as a midi player it can be connected to audio production software like fruity loops, cake walk, or albelton. It connects much like a launchpad, but shows up as "arduino leonardo."
