How to fix Rode Wireless Go audio feedback/interference

I recently purchased rode wireless go for streaming on my PC. I needed a way to connect my lavalier mic (rode lav+) to my PC and this seemed like the only solution after testing a couple of other mics. However, when I connected them I received nasty feedback/interference. It turns out it was user error, and that the fix is to unplug the receiver from USB C while in use.
