Riverside fully engulfed structure fire

On 5/18/2020 at 2:25PM, City of Riverside Fire Department responded to reports of a residential structure fire with threats to neighboring structures in the 5100 Block Of Bushnell Avenue.

First arriving resources arrived on scene to find a residence at the top of a large driveway fully involved with fire. There was a reported large smell of propane coming from the general area.

Firefighters quickly went into a defensive fire attack while additional engines and ambulances were requested. One adult female was transported to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries.

Embercast from the fire ignited nearby vegetation that spread into neighboring yards, threatening surrounding homes. Firefighters quickly shifted some resources to the vegetation and requested 2 more engines to respond to the incident.

The fire was controlled and a fire investigator was called in to investigate the cause of the fire.
