Best Beaches of Pulau Perhentian. Kecil or Besar? 4K

We explore the best beaches of Pulau Perhentian Kecil and Pulau Perhentian Besar. These Malaysian Islands are often called the Maldives of Malaysia. Not just do you get long beaches of white sand but also secluded beaches in the jungle that you can enjoy all by yourself!
When we arrived we found out that we were pretty much the only visitors to the island!

There are basically two seasons on the islands: a season of good weather from March to October and a monsoon season from November to February. The monsoon season may bring heavy rains, cloudy skies and big waves – so tourists tend to go from March to October to the Pulau Perhentians not to be stuck on the islands with bad weather. However, when we went to the Perhentians in January 2020, we had a week of sunny weather and the hotel owners claimed they had perfect weather since December.

Still, from plenty of hotels on the Perhentians, only 4 were open. You will definitely find a place to sleep, however, if you are travelling in the main season, our first accommodation choices would be:
