Redang Island | Pulau Redang | Laguna Redang Island Resort | What To Expect In 3 Days 2 Nights

We spend 3 days 2 nights at Laguna Redang Island Resort. Redang Island or Pulau Redang is one of most beautiful island in Malaysia. Located at east coast of Peninsular Malaysia, Redang Island is the most visited island compared to Perhentian & Kapas. It is famous for its crystal clear waters and white sandy beaches. It was a memorable trip. Most of the activities here are snorkeling, turtle discovery & diving. Check out our activities;

1:15 Day 1 : Traveling from Jetty Syahbandar to Jetty Pulau Redang & Snorkeling session 1
7:12 Day 2 : Turtle discovery, cave snorkeling and snorkeling session 2
17:43 Day 3 : Check out and visit Pasar Payang

To ease our trip, we opt for full package with Laguna Redang Island Resort which include breakfast, lunch, dinner, 2 times snorkeling trip. Additional cost are for Turtle Discovery(RM 70/adults), rental for life jacket(RM 15/adult) and snorkeling gear(RM 15/adult). For us, it is better in term of time management and all activities already per-planned by the resort. You can also opt for other resort nearby such as Redang Holiday Resort, Sari Pacifica Redang and many more along Pasir Panjang(Long Beach). Some information that might help;

Check In - A lot of people since it is peak season. This resort is very particular in following sop for covid as wear a mask is mandatory at all area.The guests be able to enter their room by around 2-3 pm. In our case, we reached around 1pm which ahead on time. While waiting, you can proceed to dining hall for lunch and your room should be ready after after that.

Price - I opt for full board package, which include breakfast, lunch, dinner, snorkeling and room. Price will be accordance to the numbers of pax. I decided to go with Pool View type of room at RM 578/adult and RM 400/children. The price was for 3 days and 2 nights.
Room - Clean, well maintained and comfy. Same goes to the toilet. Toilet a bit small but acceptable since it split between shower, makeup area and toilet seat.

Resort Facilities - Adult and kids swimming pool, large dining hall, convenience shop, kiosk/info counter if you interested on additional activities during your stay.
Food & Dining - Since I take full board package, I don't have to look for food and it is arranged. The breakfast timings are 7-9.30 am, lunch from 12 - 2.30pm and dinner from 6.30-9.30 pm. It is served in the Sang Suria Restaurant buffet center in the first floor of the lobby. Food was good, varieties and the view from the restaurant was amazing. The Famous local Nasi Dagang Atas Tol also served here. Once you familiar with the areas around the hotel, you'll find few other options to enjoy your meals (but it is separated charges from your package). Warung Food Court (near to snorkeling & diving centre) or you can walk along Long Beach at V-Shaped area to enjoy the local stalls for Coconut Milkshake or Keropok Lekor. (Can refer to the video for details) About 15 mins walk.

Staff - Friendly and helpful. The moment you arrived at the hotel, they will guided straight to lobby without having to worry about our luggage. They will sent it luggage area at the Lobby. Same goes during check out, they will send the luggage to the ferry, thumbs up for their well arranged service!
Activities - As part of full board package, snorkeling activity are provided. 2 times a day. The snorkeling trips daily at 9.30 am and 3.30 pm. You can choose morning or afternoon session. If you love snorkeling, go catch both sessions.

Additional activities - A must try. Turtle discovery and interaction. It is not included in original package.Suggest that for you to book it early as this activity is very popular and high demand.

Check out - The return timings from the resort to the Shahbandar Jetty is at 9.30 am and 11.30 am daily and so note that if you take the 9.30 am boat, you will need to check out by 8.30 am.

Overall - Great holiday experience and memorable trip especially with your family or loved one; despite the pandemic situation. We felt safe and cared for and will definitely be back. Please follow SOP and if you now allowed to travel inter-state or inter-district, pls adhere to the SOP.
