Reef Beach (also known as Traigh na Beirghe or Kneep Beach) is located on western side of Isle of Lewis. It is one of the longest beaches of this island with one mile of white, soft sand which meets crystal clear, turquoise water. We spent there a very nice day sheltered from the wind by surrounding hills. In comparison to many beaches of northern Scotland, Reef Beach is very tourist-friendly. There is a big campsite just next to it, where you can use the toilet or buy something warm to eat. It offers quite a lot of parking spaces too. The road which you can take to reach the beach is also very picturesque, especially along the Loch Sgailler and next to Cliff Beach.
