Necrosis , Types and Mechanism- General Pathology

Necrosis
It is a morphological change in a cell after cell
death.Basic morphologic changes of necrosis are based
on two processes:
a) Coagulative necrosis
Most common pattern of necrosis. It is due to denaturation of proteins. Tissue architecture is preserved.Seen in ischemic injury of solid organs, e.g.heart (most commonly affected organ
by coagulative necrosis).Liver necrosis (viral hepatitis), Kidney, Spleen, Thermal injury, Zenker’s degeneration necrosis.
b) Liquefactive necrosis (=(COLLIQUATIVE Necrosis)
It is due to increased lysosomal permeability and release of enzymes. It is due to liquefactive action of enzymes.
