Hurricane Barbara is on the verge of reaching Category 5 intensity in the Eastern Pacific Ocean, with a large well defined eye. The storm could reach the top category later tonight, before weakening over the next few days as it starts to approach Hawaii. However, land impacts are still expected to be minimal to none.

Tropical Depression Mun is currently located over Hainan island at this time. The JMA tagged it as a tropical storm earlier today, whilst the JTWC are still yet to make the move. Winds around the system are around 35mph.

The remnants of 04W persist along the eastern coast of China.
