One of the most horrifying things about Stephen King's fictional town of Derry, Maine is that the sewer dwelling clown Pennywise isn't the only monster... there are also human monsters, and the most twisted psychopath of them all is Patrick Hockstetter.

Patrick was not included in the 1990 TV mini-series adaptation of It, but he did make it into the 2017 and 2019 film versions. However, even with an R rating, much of Patrick's story is omitted, likely because it was just too dark for general audiences.

In this video I'll be going over the entire history of Patrick Hockstetter from his birth, to the incident with his brother Avery Hockstetter to his years in elementary school and his death at the hands of It. Stephen King stated that Patrick may have been diagnosed if he'd lived in a later era, so I'll attempt to break down and analyse his character with a psychological lens.

This will cover the entire history of Patrick Hockstetter based on Stephen King's novel. Please note that this will only analyse him as he is in the book. I will show clips from the movies as a visual aid, but for the purposes of Horror History, the books are canon.
