DLD Transfer Fee | Cost of Buying a Property in Dubai

The fee for transferring a property from seller to buyer is 4% of the property value.
Previously this fee was 2% but was increased by the Dubai Land Department (DLD) to increase transaction costs and slow down buying through speculation and the quick flipping of properties.

It's a one off fee when purchasing a property. By law, 2% should be paid by the seller and 2% by the buyer.
In the reality of the market the 4% is expected to be paid by the buyer.

Payments to DLD cannot be paid in cash. Acceptable payment methods are manager's cheque, noqodi or credit card.

Registration Fee:
AED 390 for land or AED 540 per a property (per unit)

Administration Fee:
AED 1000 (to block the property for 30 days)
